I was unable to make any sort of contact with Shawn today. Yesterday he told me he was feeling ill, so it is safe to assume that he has expired.I'm sorry to inform you that Shawn is dead, maybe.
Shawn, if you are not in fact dead, please make some kind of post.
I saw the Los Lonely Boys perform a concert at the rodeo tonight, and was thoroughly impressed. They rocked out, they were great. Good times. I'm tired and somewhat delirious now. I must cease writing before I sound loony.
Adieu.
It is now Thursday afternoon. I'm still giving Shawn the chance to post by adding to my previous entry, but I thought I'd share with ya'll the story of how my car was physically attacked this morning by a nice Mercedes sedan.
Coming off of Louetta I was attempting to jump into the feeder lanes when a white van switched into my lane of choice, so I stopped and waited for the next gap. The 50 year old man behind me did not wait for the next gap, he though I had taken off. My head hit something and I got a little whiplash, but nothing bad altogether. Accidents happen at this particular junction quite often. He tried to get out of his car to come talk to me, but I wasn't going to have it. He knocked my pathetic Geo Tracker half-way out into the lane, so I backed up a little to get out of harm's way, and waved for him to follow me.
We pulled over into a small lot just before Splash Town and he trotted up to my car, fumbling over an apology. I told him not to worry about it, accidents are common there. I skipped under the back of my car to make sure it's inegrity hadn't been compromised and found everything okay. Being the genius auto mechanic that I am, this means that I made sure the metal stuff under my car wasn't torqued, cracked, or broken.
The bumper on my car suffered minor scrapes, I think. It was already scratched, but I'm not that overly concerned with my car's aesthetic appeal. His white, brand-new looking $60,000+ Mercedes had a three foot section on the front of his car that was horrendously scratched, but I'm sure the car will live. I told the man not to worry about it and to have a nice day-overall I was in good spirits, almost humorously so. I perceived no reason to raise this guy's insurance or send him to that awful defensive driving class I had to attend, on account of him making a 2-inch scrape to the bumper of my dilapidated automobile.
And that's the story.
I knew I should have brought my DS to school today...
