100 Comics?

Apparently this is our 100th comic today. We haven't actually completed 100 Blue House Comics, some of them were never finished; nevertheless, there are 100 files in my comics folder that means that we have attempted 100 comics. The actual number is probably closer to 90. I'm sure no one cares about this number counting game, but in case you were wondering, that's where we stand.

Weeee it's 2:23 am and I'm really tired, and school starts tomorrow! Hooray!

Bioshock is a must play

I'll make this short, because I already need to be going to bed for work tomorrow, and I could go on for hours about this topic. I'm going to assume that most of you have no idea how much Bioshock means to some of us PC gamers, because 95% of you were not even aware that a game known as System Shock 2 came out the same year that Half-Life 1 did until very recently.

The fact that I won't be able to play Bioshock on my computer very well (or at all) is disheartening. I cannot wield the Xbox360 controllers with the proper technique that is required to play an FPS genre game. I just can't. I've always been terrible at Halo, and I've never had the time or the interest for that matter to be able to play an FPS game on a console, until now. I have to play Bioshock, and after I download the demo I'll decide if it will be done on my PC or a 360. To play it on my PC would mean sacrificing the game's graphics completely in order to have my fluid controls. Graphics are great, don't get me wrong. I played the demo on the Xbox360 (with great difficulty), and it looked gorgeous. I'm really quite torn. I may just figure out how to do it on a 360, but I would somehow feel that I cheated the game, and withdrew to a lower medium in order to play.

For those of you that are interested, the minimum requirements for Bioshock can be found here.

Good luck, and congratulations to those of you sporting two 8800GTX video cards and 2GB of DDR-II RAM.

Enjoy the comic!

Cheerio Children, and Cheerios.

I’m back! Returned from lands afar where people walk on ceilings and speak backwards! I studied their customs with the dispassionate coolness of a Baconian disciple and the journalistic stoicism inherent therein. But gradually, these kind and tender people warmed my heart and came to be counted as friends by me.

I shall call them “Britons”.

I’ve actually been back for awhile but have neglected my residence here in this blog like a delinquent mortgagor. But I don’t want to live in the cold and on the streets, so now I’m typing.

Of what consequence? I look in front of me where a Craig Biggio poster is crudely taped to a closet door. This is interesting to me for three reasons. I’m not sure if I actually have three reasons but it felt like it would give me enough to “cover the bases” so to speak.

Anyway, first of all, it drives home the fact that this great and beloved 2nd baseman is now engaged in his final season as a career baseballer. Not only that, but it’s a really bad season for his team. And it’s ok to say “his team” cuz it’s the only team he’s ever played for. Which is very cool.

Secondly, the poster (and more impressively, the tape) has been affixed to that closet door since after I took down the kiddie basketball-hoop-laundry-hamper-bag I used to hop into from the upperstory bunk of my bed when I was a wee lad. Yes, that tape is astonishing, and likewise astonishing is that the intensity of the three Craig Biggios’ expressions which layer the poster have persisted all these years without cessation.

And to fulfill my three reasons, I shall declare the third reason warranting my interest for this poster is that it is, in fact, a Kellogg’s poster. Maybe it was corn flakes, maybe it was Corn Pops.. this makes me wonder and will probably continue to do so, even as I am an aged, wizened thing with gray hairs and wrinkly jowls.

The post you just read was mentally nutritious and I do hope you shall continue following our comic, dear readers. Our comic is “coming around” out of the partial comatose of summer and soon, with Sterling and myself under one roof, the mass and momentum of our genius will sally forth like Merlin and the son of Pendragon on behalf of the besieged tributary kingdom of Leodogran. Which is to say, unstoppably.

Arrivederci lads and lasses! And also, Cheers.

Getting Back on Track

Things are going well. Summer school has come to a close and I have three weeks until the fall session starts. I got all of my FAFSA business sent off and hopefully will be able to retrieve some Stafford loans for the fall.

GREAT NEWS EVERYONE! I finally got back in touch with Nick Jackson, and Shawn and I are going to meet with him this Saturday and we're going to start construction on our new website, which should be launching in a few weeks. I apologize for the delays we've had in various manners, this takes a lot more effort than we often have time for.

Thanks to all of our fans that have waited so patiently for our return. Hopefully we will have some t-shirts out for the Christmas season.
